Atrophy and the Fear of Fading(2010)
8 min · Directed by Palesa Nomanzi Shongwe
Released
Dance, imagery, poetry and music as metaphors for the history of a country: its movements struggling for freedom and its heritage are brilliantly brought into dialogue through a fascinating kaleidoscope that blends archive images and contemporary performance. A work under the banner of modernity in its form and in its questioning: is the body of an individual similar to that of a country?
