Privacy policy
Last updated October 19, 2026
PopcornQueue is a small, independent service that reminds you when movies you're interested in reach theaters or streaming. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what you can do about it. It's written to be read, so it's short.
What we collect
- Your email address, to create your account, sign you in with one-time codes, and send the alerts you ask for.
- Your queue: the movies you add, your reminder choices, and which ones you've watched.
- Your memberships, if you add them: which theater programs and streaming services you have, so we can tell you what's included.
- A record of alerts we've sent you, kept for 90 days so we never send the same one twice.
- Basic server logs (such as request times and errors) that our hosting provider keeps for a limited time to run and secure the service.
We don't sell your information, show ads, or use analytics or tracking cookies. We use one cookie to keep you signed in, and a short-lived one while you're entering a sign-in code.
Who processes it
The service runs on Amazon Web Services (AWS) in the United States, which stores our data and sends our emails. Movie information comes from TMDB, and streaming availability from JustWatch via TMDB. We don't send them your personal information.
How long we keep it
We keep your account and queue until you delete them. Sent-alert records are deleted automatically after 90 days.
Your choices
- Turn email alerts off any time from your account page or any alert email.
- Change or remove your memberships and queue whenever you like.
- Delete your account from your account page. That permanently removes your queue, memberships, settings, calendar link, and sign-in.
- Ask us what we hold about you, or anything else, at hello@popcornqueue.com.
Children
PopcornQueue isn't meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date above. For significant changes we'll let account holders know by email.
