Hitting Budapest: A Literary Film Adaptation(2024)

Hitting Budapest: A Literary Film Adaptation follows a group of children from a poor township who venture into the wealthy suburbs of Budapest in search of guavas — and a glimpse of a world far beyond their own. Adapted from NoViolet Bulawayo’s award-winning short story, the film captures the raw innocence, humor, and heartbreak of youth amid poverty and social divide. Through the children’s eyes, it explores themes of class, survival, and the fleeting nature of childhood dreams.
