The climbing hall, that was opened two years later in her hometown Merano, gave Angelika the possibility to indulge her passion with every fibre of her body. In 2008 Angelika's childhood dream came true: she won for the first time an Iceclimbing World Cup competition in Saas Fe, Switzerland. In 2012 and in 2015 she won the Overall World Cup ranking.

In addition, she also won two times at the prestigious International Mixed climbing competition in Ouray, Colorado and at the single event Red Bull White Cliffs. But in the Winter Angelika does not only participate in competitions, but has also repeted some of the most difficult ice-, mixed- and Drytooling routes in the world. In November 2017 she climbs the Drytooling route 'A line above the sky' and becomes the first women to climb a route graded D15.
