Andrew Dean

Andrew Dean is a Brighton-based video editor, colourist, and script supervisor. Born in London, he studied at London Screen Academy and began gaining credits as an editor on documentaries, like Watching Over Her (2022). He moved to Brighton and graduated from MetFilm School in 2025. He works as a freelance Video Editor on nano-budget and no budget short films for local filmmakers. His most known project to date is Chaser (2026), directed by Jesse Williams. Chaser (2026) has gone on to premiere at multiple international film festivals, wining numerous festival prizes. Andrew has a focus in queer-centric, trans-positive films. He has worked with many trans filmmakers with a focus on growing the local trans filmmaking network and promoting more unique narrative for the trans community.
