Directing
Lisah Nsanzugwanko is a Tanzanian-born writer, director, and storyteller now calling St. John's, NL home. She has moved swiftly from assistant director to a filmmaker with a singular voice, racking up credits across theatre and film. Her films are rooted in Black culture, history, and lived experience and her instinct for finding the human story in unexpected places is already on full display. Her debut short documentary, Love is in the Hair, ventures into rural Newfoundland to uncover a story that is as intimate as it is universal.
